Powerful Tools for Caregivers Class Schedule (pdf) VolunteerJoin Us - Become a Friends in Action Volunteer Current Friends in Action Volunteer Needs: Immediate need for volunteers to provide caregiver relief for 2-4 hours for families of elderly, frail seniors or those caring for a loved one with memory loss. Be part of a caregiver relief team. Even those who can only volunteer a few hours a month can help families in need as Caregiver Relief Team members. Be a Volunteer Driver and make a difference in the lives of frail elderly seniors trying to remain independent. Drivers needed in all areas of Boise, Garden City and Meridian to transport Seniors to doctor's appointments, shopping and other needs. A modest mileage reimbursement is available. You can help others as a Senior Companion! The services that a Senior Companion provides are all non-medical types of tasks, such as friendly visits, caregiver relief, and helping with meals and groceries. If you qualify you can participate and receive a modest tax-free compensation plus Mileage reimbursement . You can be a Senior Companion, and have a very flexible schedule driving other seniors, and receive mileage reimbursement.
